Forget MHT-CET Percentiles -NRI, OCI & Foreign National Admissions in Maharashtra Run on Your 10+2 Marks
In this video, we address one of the most common points of confusion during Maharashtra's admission season - MHT-CET and who actually needs to appear for it.
If you are a Foreign National, NRI, OCI, CIWGC, or a candidate under a related international category, the MHT-CET 2026 brochure clearly states that you are exempt from appearing for the exam. Normalization and percentile scoring - the rules that govern domestic admissions - do not apply to your category at all. Your admission merit is based entirely on your 10+2 qualifying examination marks. Your marksheet is your merit. There is no entrance exam standing between you and a Maharashtra professional college seat.
For those who do take the exam, the percentile is calculated shift-by-shift - it is not your raw percentage. If a candidate appeared in multiple attempts, the best total percentile score is what counts for admission ranking, not the most recent one.
If you fall under an international category, stop preparing for an exam you do not need. Visit the official portal at fn.mahacet.org, use the Student Category Check tool to confirm your eligibility, and follow the process built specifically for you. Your 10+2 marks already qualify you - make sure they are submitted through the right channel.
