HOOK: Everyone I told said: Wahid, why not Pune city? Why not Mumbai? I said: because I chose Bhor. A small town in Pune district, Maharashtra. And I do not regret one day of it.

THE STORY: i am Wahid. From Paktia, Afghanistan. I study B.A.-B.Ed. : the integrated Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education : at Rajgad Dnyanpeeth's Sou.Nirmalatai Thopate College of Education in Bhor. The campus is small. The town is quiet. The hills of the Western Ghats are visible from the college grounds. And the program is serious. The integrated B.A.-B.Ed. gives me both a subject-area degree and a teaching qualification at the same time. I came to become a teacher. This is where I am doing that.

HOW HE GOT HERE: I found this college on fn.mahacet.org : the Government of Maharashtra's official portal for international students. I searched B.A.-B.Ed. under Bachelors. Read through the results properly. Rajgad Dnyanpeeth College in Bhor appeared. I liked what I read. I applied directly. No entrance exam. My 12th results were the requirement. No agent.

THE MESSAGE: Maharashtra is not only the big cities. The right place for you might be somewhere you did not expect. fn.mahacet.org : search properly : the program is listed."
