Avurudu Away from Home: Sri Lankan Students in Pune

Tomorrow is Avurudu. And I am not in Sri Lanka.
I am in Pune, at Pune University. Honestly, I thought I would fall apart this year. The first Avurudu away from home.

You know what surprised me? My Sri Lankan friends here made kiribath. We video called our families together. We lit the hearth. We wore new clothes, and we celebrated.
