Celebrating Avurudu From SPPU Pune as a Sri Lankan Student

Today is Avurudu. And honestly, I am celebrating it from the SPPU campus in Pune.

Look, I did not expect to feel this much away from home. But you know what surprised me most? The Sri Lankan community here is bigger than I thought.

We cooked kiribath in the hostel kitchen. Someone brought kokis. It was not perfect. But it was close enough to home.

SPPU has this huge campus. Open spaces, gardens, a feeling of room to breathe. It helped today, actually.
